Project Department
This department - part of the ZI's Director's office – initiates,
coordinates, implements, and supervises various projects. The tasks
include scholarly/scientific preparation, organization, and
administration. Usually, all projects are completely or largely funded
by third parties. Naturally, the department is strongly involved in the
current research and
digitization projects.
Among the projects dealt with 2004-2011 are:
- Colloquium Bildwissenschaft, winter term 2004/2005
and summer term 2005
(organised by Humanwissenschaftliches Zentrum LMU, Burda Akademie zum
Dritten Jahrtausend, and ZI)
- Coordination of pilot project Ukrania
- Editing the CIHA conference
proceedings Nation, Style and Modernism (conference
in Munich and Cracow, September 2003), in cooperation with the
International Cultural Centre Cracow (ICCC)
- Traveling exhibition and publication Art
History during National Socialism
- Co-Editing of the
conference proceedings Dokumentation, Digitalisierung,

- Coordinating the
local
award ceremony (November, 28, 2007) of the Cultural Heritage Award
of the European Commission / EUROPA NOSTRA-Award presented to the
Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte and to Bildarchiv Foto Marburg
