Das vom Verein der Freunde des Zentralinstituts für Kunstgeschichte e.V. CONIVNCTA FLORESCIT gestiftete Fellowship ermöglicht es freiberuflichen Kuratorinnen und Kuratoren und angestellten Kunsthistorikerinnen und Kunsthistorikern in Museen und Ausstellungshäusern, am Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte in München ein Forschungsprojekt im Zusammenhang mit einer Sammlung oder Ausstellung zu verfolgen. Gefördert und ermöglicht werden soll ein „Freiraum“ der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit, der Entwicklung von Ideen und des Nachdenkens im Hinblick auf Sammlungen und Ausstellungen. Erwartet werden Präsenz vor Ort, die Beteiligung an den wissenschaftlichen Aktivitäten des ZI und eine Vorstellung des Themas.
Das Fellowship ermöglicht einen ein- bis zweimonatigen Forschungsaufenthalt am Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte und besteht in einer Aufwandsentschädigung in Höhe von 1.800 € pro Monat. Über die Vergabe entscheidet eine unabhängige Fachkommission. Antragsberechtigt sind promovierte Kunsthistorikerinnen und Kunsthistoriker, die ihren ständigen Wohnsitz außerhalb Münchens haben.

The Creative Space Fellowship, funded by the Association of Friends of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Conivncta Florescit e.V., gives freelance curators and art historians employed in museums the opportunity of pursuing research in connection with a collection or an exhibition. The fellowship is meant to create a “creative scientific space” in order to reflect on collections and exhibitions and to develop ideas and concepts. Fellows are expected to partake in the activities of the ZI and to present the fellowship project.
The fellowship lasts one to two months and consists of an allowance of 1.800 € per month. An independent expert committee decides on the award. Applicants with a PhD and a permanent address outside Munich are eligible to apply.
