Der überwiegende Teil des Bestandes ist im Freihandsystem direkt zugänglich. Folgende Bestände müssen allerdings bestellt werden:

  • Rara (Signatur endet mit ‚R’, ‚Rarissima’ oder ‚PL’)
  • die meisten Auktionskataloge und Lagerkataloge (Signatur beginnt mit ‚Aukt.Kat.’ oder ‚Lagerkat.’)
  • Graphzines (Signatur beginnt mit ‚Graphzines’)
  • aus Platzgründen magazinierte CDs/DVDs, Mikroformen, Dias etc.
  • Bücher der Signaturengruppen
    • ‚AA 1-3’ (Handbücher und Lexika zu Nachbardisziplinen)
    • ‚AA 7-15’ (Handbücher und Lexika zu Nachbardisziplinen)
    • ‚AE’ (Wörterbücher)
    • ‚AF 0-17’ (ein Teil der Bibliographien)
    • ‚AH’ (Bibliotheks-, Archiv- und Museumswesen)
    • ‚AM’ (Universalenzyklopädien)
    • ‚LR’ und ‚LS’ (Griechenland, Bulgarien)
    • ‚LT’ und ‚LU’ (Rumänien, Konstantinopel)
    • ‚ZA’, ‚ZB’, ‚ZE’ bis ‚ZK’ (Nachbarwissenschaften)
    • ‚V 7’ bis ‚V 84’ (Tagungsbände bis Tagungsjahr 1984)

Für als ‚Rarissima’ gekennzeichnete Bücher gelten besondere Benutzungsbedingungen, ebenso für ‚Graphzines’.

Die Bestellung der Medien erfolgt online direkt im kubikat. Eine Anleitung zum Online-Bestellverfahren finden Sie hier.

Nur wenn Sie noch keinen ZI-Bibliotheksausweis besitzen und Medien von auswärts bestellen möchten, können Sie noch das Bestellformular im PDF-Format nutzen, das Sie uns ausgefüllt entweder per Post oder als Anhang einer E-Mail an die Adresse infobib@zikg.eu vor Ihrem Besuch unter Angabe des gewünschten Bereitstellungsdatums, das frühestens der nächste Öffnungstag sein kann, zusenden.

Rara, Auktions- und Lagerkataloge, CDs/DVDs etc. sind beim Verlassen der Bibliothek bei der Eingangsaufsicht zurückzugeben. Eine Aufbewahrung im Handapparat ist nicht erlaubt.

Bereitstellung:

  • Bestellung bis 14:00 Uhr => Bereitstellung ab 15:00 Uhr (Eingangsaufsicht)
  • Bestellung nach 14:00 Uhr => Bereitstellung am nächsten Öffnungstag (Eingangsaufsicht)

Book Orders

The Library of the Zentralinstitut fuer Kunstgeschichte is an open stack reference library which means that books in our collections are freely accessible for consultation in our reading rooms, yet certain materials must be ordered:

  • Rare books (shelf mark ends with ‚R’)‚ ‚Rarissima’ (= very rare books) or ‚PL’ (= material kept in the plan chest)
  • Most of the auction catalogues and stock catalogues (shelf mark begins with ‚Aukt.Kat.’ or ‚Lagerkat.’)
  • Graphzines (shelf mark begins with ‚Graphzines’)
  • Other special holdings worth protecting (microforms, slides, data media etc.)
  • Books of the following groups of shelf marks:
    • ‚AA 1-3’ (handbooks and encyclopedias of the neighbouring disciplines)
    • ‚AA 7-15’ (handbooks and encyclopedias of the neighbouring disciplines)
    • ‚AE’ (dictionaries)
    • ‚AF 0-17’ (a part of the bibliographies)
    • ‚AH’ (librarianship, archivistics and museology)
    • ‚AM’ (encyclopedias)
    • ‚LR’ and ‚LS’ (Greece, Bulgaria)
    • ‚LT’ and ‚LU’ (Romania, Constantinople)
    • ‚ZA’, ‚ZB’, ‚ZE’ to ‚ZK’ (related disciplines)
    • ‚V 7’ up to ‚V 84’ (conference proceedings up to 1984)

Special rules exist for books labelled as ‘Rarissima’, likewise for ‘Graphzines’. Holdings with the location suffix ‘HF’ on the call number cannot be ordered for the time being.

Media can be ordered online directly from kubikat. Instructions for the online ordering process can be found here (PDF).

Only if you do not have a ZI library card yet and want to order media from outside, you can still use the order form in PDF format which you can download here. You can either send it printed by mail or as PDF file attached to an e-mail to . Please ensure that all mandatory fields are completed before placing your order at least one working day in advance of your visit.

Ordered items may not be kept in the reserve shelf and must be returned at the entrance control desk when leaving the library.

Delivery times of ordered items:

  • ordered until 2:00 pm => delivered at 3:00 pm (Entrance control desk)
  • ordered after 2:00 pm => delivered on the next working day at 9:00 am (Entrance control desk)

 

A Readers Card is required to consult any ordered material. Information about how to apply for a Readers Card, and the Readers Card Office opening hours is available here.
